Happy Birthday Rachel

20 years old!!!! I can't believe it! My how you have grown! May God Bless you and keep you always in the palm of his hand until it is time to meet him face to face. God first then EVERYTHING will fall into its proper place. I love you!!

Gardening

My green lettuce is coming up so beautifully in my garden I just had to share a picture of it. I heard lettuce was particularly hard to grow so I wanted to see for myself and so far we have had some lovely salads. It is so rewarding to run out to the garden and pick fresh produce for dinner. We also have tomatoes, green beans, cucumbers, corn, scallions, basil and dill. Next year I would like to expand the garden to include much more.

FaithButton
1. I managed to get my husband to bring down my heavy wooden desk from my room into our new classroom. Then proceeded to get half of the classroom in shape...yeah!!
2. I finished all the wash from our vacation week in familyland and there was a mountain of it. All folded and put away!!
3. Cleaned out the fridge and the freezer and filled it with my weekly groceries. Looking for places to pick fresh berries to make preserves.
Not much but when you write it down it does have a feeling of accomplishment!!! Thanks Faith and Family this is a positive jolt I needed!!

Baseball Season

I must admit that I am not really a big fan of baseball but now that boys are playing it has changed the whole game for me. Each time one of them gets up to bat or pitch my heart starts to pound and I sit on the edge of my seat. I'm the lady in the stands screaming the team onto victory. Well now both of my boys are in the playoffs and I don't think I have any nails left on my finger tips. Jake's game last night took us to the very end ...the score was 14 to 13 we were

losing, bases were loaded we had 2 outs and Jake had struck out his last time up to bat. Pressure was intense when he came up to bat again under these conditions. It was the bottom of the last inning ..it was all up to Jake. If he struck out then we were done for the season if he hit we had a chance. So he gets 2 strikes one chance left ...he hits the ball bringing the guy on third home and he makes it to first...standing on first with his arms straight up in the air...everyone screaming his name!! He had tied the game. Next guy up hits the next guy home ...we end up winning the game and moving on. It was very intense! Now I do see how people can get excited for baseball.
Aidan's game tonight was a wipe out. They blew the other team away..not much of a game but the little guy was thrilled to be moving on to the next game as well. Tomorrow we have both playoff games back to back...can I handle it?!

Recital

Jake and Kerry had their recital tonight! I love listening to them play after all the lessons and practicing everyday of the year, it really does pay off!! Jake is not so sure he wants to continue with the piano but after a marvelous performance tonight he may change his mind. Great job Jake!!!!

Recital

Years ago when Kerry first started to play the harp she loved it and as time went on she was bored with it. Something in me told me not to let her stop or she would regret it. Well fast forward to now and she loves it!! Kerry had her recital tonight and composed her own song to sing and play. I was truly blown away. Practicing all those years really does pay off. We are so proud of you Kerry!!! Keep stringing along.
