Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a very Holy, Happy Easter!!! We made it to Florida again with my Mom and siblings. I cherish these times and am so happy that my children can make wonderful memories with their Aunts, Uncles and cousins not to mention Momom.

My Dad started this whole tradition of going to Florida over Easter and most of us made it over the years. I'm glad we are carrying on this tradition..it has been so much fun and even though my Dad wasn't there we all felt his presence.

I miss him but am able to look at what he has given us with great appreciation! I am able to move on with joy. How lucky am I to have had such a man to call Daddy. I have waited for the pain to subside and it doesn't but now I understand it. I am able to live with it and to move forward with joy. Not all days but many more good days then bad ones. I think of him everyday and probably always will but it's the joy, the laughter oh boy the laughter...the love, and most importantly our beautiful and incredible Faith! This Faith that has gotten me to this point of grace and I do owe it to my parents. Happy Easter Daddy and thank you, again!!!

On Easter I remember that you live because of Him!! Thank you Jesus!!

Triathlon

Last Summer my siblings and I decided to do a triathlon for life. Well my Father got sick and passed away and we really didn't want to do it anymore. Things changed when we decided to do it in memory of my Father to benefit life. So, we trained for a few months and today we raised money for the unborn in my Father's name. It was very hard but along the whole race we kept saying this is for our Dad's soul and for the unborn babies. The strength of our Lord was with us and we did it!!! Thank you to all my siblings for the great team work, support and love. Some babies may have been saved today and Daddy you may have gone home. We love you Daddy!!!!

Kerry is 13!

Happy birthday Kerry!!! 13 today and it seems like yesterday when I held you in my arms thanking God for this precious miracle. I thank Him everyday for you, your laughter, your curiosity and charity towards others. Seeing the world through your eyes has made me a better person. I love you!!!

Holy Union

Yesterday my nephew, Matthew was married to his beautiful bride Jessica! It was a beautiful wedding! The Mass was so reverent. This young couple are both Chasity speakers. They preach the word and then live what they preach. I can tell you that living in this world and then meeting a couple like this is so refreshing. Just when you think , what is the use, you see these two amazing people living the truth. I am so proud of my nephew and now I have a beautiful new niece that I am proud to have my girls look up to. God bless you Matt and Jess!!!

Florida

A baseball game in the middle of Winter...yes! We got out of town and went down to sunny Florida! Yes it was sunny and warm and we didn't want to leave.
Another advantage of homeschooling. Wishing you all warmth! Think Spring!

Missing you

Everyday I talk to you and everyday I ask for your prayers....thank you Daddy. Some days the ache in my heart is unbearable, like today...I want to hug you and listen to your words of wisdom. You were so smart in all aspects of life and your advice was invaluable. I wish I would have asked for it more often. I know you are happy, you are with Jesus but I miss you and would give anything to hear your voice again. I love you Daddy and I always will!!!

Model Horses: a guest post by Kerry

Model Horses are a great way to own horses without the grooming,feeding, or bills. They are also really fun to work with. Above is a picture I took in my backyard, of my mare Honey Dew. In the picture she's jumping a set of logs. I've been collecting models since, 2005, and have around 60 of all scales. The picture below are the three sizes models come in.

There's Traditional (1:9th scale), Classics (1:12th scale), and Stablemates(1/32 scale). They are made by the company Breyer Animal Creations.
